Louisiana is no stranger to hurricanes - depending on what generation you are a part of, certain names like Besty, Audrey, Katrina, Laura, and now Ida - bring back memories of devastation, displacement and despair. But they also bring up memories of humanity, helping hands, coming together as neighbors, and Americans. Then eventually those memories change to thoughts of the rebuilding process - for some this is more arduous than others.

Another storm, Hurricane Ida, has rocked our beloved state, and we want to do something to help. What does that help mean? Some bring food, some bring supplies, some clear roads and help salvage what remains of someones home. We, my sister Emily and I, want to help people Geaux Home.

Our initial goal is two part:

1. To fund a families entire living expenses for one year while they recover from the storm. We have a family we are working with who has lost everything. Living expenses are more than just their rent or mortgage - we want to give them enough to cover groceries, pet expenses, utilities, etc. 75% of the fundraising proceeds will go to this part of our goal.

2. The second part of our initial goal is to show thanks to the thousands of utility workers and National Guard members who have descended upon the area affected by the storm to help bring normal back as quickly as possible. They work in the heat, 16+ hour days, putting their lives at risks so that others have power, cleared roads, supplies, etc. 25% of the fundraising proceeds will go towards funds dedicated to supporting utility workers and national guard members and their families.

All of the items available in the store are designed, made, printed and produced in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Dates are subject to extend, but initially the store will be open from September 7th until October 15th. We will begin printing and shipping orders immediately as they come in. Please allow 5-7 business days for us to produce and ship your orders. We will ship your order via USPS.

If the fundraiser does well enough - we will open it up to adopting more than one family. We will keep you posted of the fundraising progress!
